No 931890069 AC-II Rajender Singh was born in village Barbel in District Jhalawad of Rajasthan. He joined 12 SRG NSG on 06 June 1995. In August 1995 along with other NSG personnel AC-II Rajender Prasad was deployed at TF Chandigarh to provide mobile security cover to Late Shri Beant Singh, the then Chief Minister of Punjab, under ‘Operation Black Panther’. On 31 Aug 1995 at about 1713 hours at Punjab Secretariat, Chandigarh when Shri Beant Singh was about to get on to his bullet proof car, a powerful bomb blast took place, in which all the three NSG personnel along with Late Shri Beant Singh died on the spot due to sustaining major impact of the blast. AC-II Rajender Prasad made the supreme sacrifice as a conspicuous act of bravery, unparalleled dedication to the mission during ‘Operation Black Panther’ on 31 Aug 1995. He was survived by father Sh Laxman Ram and wife Smt Kamla Devi.
