DEVELOPMENTAL CENTRE

A Developmental Centre for Children with Special needs named "PRERNA" was established as NSG Campus, Manesar on 16th October 2014 with the aim of providing various therapies to the children with Special Needs so as to enhance their mental & physical skills.

"PRERNA" DEVELOPMENTAL CENTRE

(1) A Developmental Centre for Children with Special needs named "PRERNA" was established as NSG Campus, Manesar on 16th October 2014 with the aim of providing various therapies to the children with Special Needs so as to enhance their mental & physical skills.

(2) To alleviate the sufferings of the children and their parents, the NSG Wives Welfare Association (NWYA) mooted a proposal for establishment of Facilitation Centre at Manesar.

(3) After months of research, forethought and planning by Officers of NSG and Executive and Working Committee members of NWYA, "Prerna Developmental Centre" was inaugurated by Smt. Radha Chaudhary, then President NWYA and wife of then DG NSG on 16th October 2014 with the aim of providing quality service to the children with special needs of NSG Campus, Manesar and surrounding areas so as to enhance their mental & physical skills.

(4) At present 51 (fifty one) Divyang children at NSG Campus at Manesar are availing this facilities. Out of 51 Divyang children, 15 children of the outsiders i.e. near NSG Campus, Manesar and surrounding areas are availing this facilities.

The details of children are as under :-

(a) Down/West Syndrome – 01

(b) Intellectual Disability – 13

(d) Cerebral Palsy – 10

(e) Autism – 08

(f) ADHD – 05

(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

(g) Others – 08

(5) To enhance their mental & physical skills for which three specialists i.e. an Occupational Therapists, a Physio Therapist and a Speech Therapist were appointed and two Ayahs were also engaged.
