No 13611200N, R-I Ram Chandra Singh (Ex-3 PARA) was born in village Dungiri Panth in District Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand. He joined 51 SAG NSG on 18 May 1985. R-I Ram Chander Singh was a part of group 51 SAG NSG and was deployed in Punjab during “OP MOUSE TRAP’. He was a member of ambush party operating against the terrorists in the area of Tarantaran (Punjab). On 11 Aug 1989 at about 2130 hrs on way to the ambush side in village Kairon an encounter took place with the terrorists in the area of Sarhali Khurd. During the heavy gun battle R-I Ram Chander Singh got fatal gunshot wounds and lost his life. R-I Ram Chander Singh made supreme sacrifice while on duty under ‘OP MOUSE TRAP’ on 11 Aug 1989. His family consists of father Sh Amar Singh, wife Smt Laxmi Devi and Daughter Arti.
