1. BLANKET AND OLD/SURPLUS CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION

    In its endeavour towards fulfilment of social responsibility, NWYA observed the International Day for the Elderly on 1st October 2014 by donating/distributing new blankets and old/surplus clothing to needy elderly being managed by The Earth Saviour Foundation, Rangpuri Pahari


   
     

2.  BLOOD DONATION CAMP

    A Blood Donation camp under the aegis of NWYA was organised by Composite Hospital, NSG in association with Indian Red Cross Society at its Manesar garrison on 27th October 2014. Total 183 personnel including 8 ladies donated blood. Speaking on the occasion, Smt Radha Chaudhury, President NWYA said that “At the time of saving a life blood is “RED GOLD”.

   
     

3.  WORKSHOP ON “CHILD TRAFFICKING/ABUSE”

      A workshop on Child trafficking/ Abuse was organised by NWYA in association with “The Indian Documentary Producers’ Association” and “The Film & Cultural Society of North-East” on 16th Nov 2014 at IICA Manesar.

     Nobel Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Satyarthi said, “The problem of Child Trafficking/Abuse can be negated only by firm determination and concerted efforts by each and every individual”. He appreciated the initiative taken by Smt Radha Chaudhury, President NWYA in generating awareness in this regard amongst personnel and families.

    Documentaries like “Not My Life” and  “Koniker Ramdhenu” were screened. Prominent film makers like Shri Jahnu Barua, Shri Mike Pandey were also present. Dr. P.M.Nair, Smt B.Bhamathi, Shri Vivek Joshi deliberated upon the various aspects of Child Trafficking and initiatives taken by the Govt. Besides, NSG personnel and families, representatives from other CAPFs also attended the workshop.

      
   
 

4.  VEGETABLE & FRUIT CARVING COMPETITION

    A “Vegetable & Fruit Carving” competition was organized under the aegis of NWYA on 31st January 2015 at NSG campus in which cooks of all the units/formations participated and showed their skills. The competition was appreciated by one and all.

 
   

5. OLD/SURPLUS CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION

    NWYA members distributed / donated old & surplus clothing among poor labourers and children on 01st Feb 2015 at NSG  Campus.

   
     

6.  MOTIVATIONAL TALK ON THE THEME “INSPIRED LIVING” BY SMT. JAYA ROW

       Eminent speaker, Smt. Jaya Row of “Vedanta vision” group gave a motivational talk on “Inspired Living”  on 02nd March 2015 at Manesar.

      She stated that to be inspired, one must have a vision beyond individual needs and aspirations and encompass the well being of the world.  This vision then translates into a goal that is pursued with focus, devotion and outstanding work.

      In addition to personnel and  families of NSG and other CAPF’s, faculty/students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Manesar and Amity University, Gurgaon attended the talk.   On the occasion, Smt. Radha Chaudhury, President, NWYA, presented a memento to Smt. Jaya Row. 

   
   

7. National Teacher’s Day

     National Teachers Day is celebrated by  NSG Primary School Manesar and Ankur  Schools at respective locations in the memory of Dr. Radha Krishan  on his birthday on 5th September 2015.  A Colourful functions are organised on this occasion and sweets are also distributed to children.  Best Teachers and childrens are awarded by Principal of respective Vidhyalayas on behalf of President NWYA.
